It was celebrated by the Very Rev. Fr. Bernard Adjei Appiah, SVD, Cathedral Administrator.
The June 15 Sunday Mass of the Installation featured the taking of the oath of office by the newly elected, among other activities.
Taking the Council members through the oath taking ritual, the Cathedral Administrator charged them to carry out their respective duties in unity and harmony, in the spirit of the Blessed Trinity.
The newly elected who will serve the local Church for the next 2 years, committed themselves to “obey and support the Priests, to serve, bear true faith and allegiance to the Church, discharge my duties and responsibilities to the best of my abilities, with all fidelity, sincerity, commitment and dedication”.
The newly installed comprised of the eight (8) Executive Board members that were elected, namely: Mr. Desmond Soglo (President), Mrs. Dorothy Dawutey (Vice President), Miss Mavis Edem Klutse (Secretary), Miss Grace Mayeden (Assistant Secretary), Mr. Arnold Ayem (Financial Secretary), Mr. Fabrice Asinyo (Assistant Financial Secretary), Mr. Emmanuel Siame (Organizer) and Miss Juliana Darko (Assistant Organizer).
Others were representatives of the various Church groups who had been nominated by their members to participate in the elections and now form part of the Church Council.
The newly installed were symbolically welcomed into the leadership by some Church members led by Mr. Michael Djan, Laity Council Chairman.
