The donated items included a set of brand-new chasubles in all four main liturgical colours, as well as host and wine, and other provisions.
Stating the purpose of the visit, Mr. Eric Donkor, who is the Vice Chairman of Tease Parish Pastoral Council, said that the items were bought mainly from special contributions by the parishioners during this immediate past Lenten season, to do charity to Samanhyia Parish as part of Tease Parish’s Lenten observances.
Mr. Donkor urged the parishioners of Samanhyia, being a community of God’s people to remember the donors in their prayers.
In a remark, Fr. Binyemi, said, “Against the background of our own parish needs, from our widow’s mite, we have only extended our 2025 parish Lenten solidarity and charity to a sister parish that is equally in need of assistance.”
He explained that “This thoughtful gesture was meant to draw divine grace and favours upon Tease Parish.”
He reiterated his heartfelt gratitude to the pastoral council, sponsors and the entire parishioners of Tease for supporting the initiative.
On his part, Rev. Fr. Coleman Aloysius Akrereke Getor, CSSp, Parish Priest of Samanhyia expressed his profound appreciation to the delegation and the entirety of Tease Parish for the benevolent gesture shown them. He assured Tease Parish of their prayerful support and wished them God’s love and joy.
