The Pastoral Visit had run from Monday May 18 to Sunday May 24, 2026. Tuesday May 19 saw the Bishop at Domi Outstation where he celebrated a joint Mass and interacted with Christ’s Faithful from Domi, Nyamebekyere, Hunyasu, Hamidu and Nsuogyaso.
He continued to Kwasi Fante the same day, where he celebrated Mass and had some interactions with the Christians.
On Wednesday May 20, the Chief Shepherd visited Bonkrom and later Gyeneboafo Outstations, and had Holy Mass and interactions with the faithful.
Thursday May 21 saw him visiting Asanyasu Outstation where he celebrated Mass and also had some interactions with the Christians.
On Friday May 22, the Bishop celebrated a joint Mass for the Faithful of Maame Krobo and Kwaekese, and also had some interactions with them at the main Parish Church.
Bishop Asiedu celebrated Mass Wedding for four couples at the main Parish on Saturday May 23, and crowned his Pastoral Visit on Sunday 24 (Pentecost Sunday), with Confirmation of 33 Candidates at the same venue.
Speaking to the Diocesan Department of Social Communications (DEPSOCOM), on the Bishop’s Pastoral Visit, the St. Joseph the Worker Parish President, Mr. Mawulawoe Kwasi Kudohia, revealed that, far from being a mere administrative audit, the Bishop’s presence among the Parishioners was an authentic encounter with the Universal Church, adding that his week-long stay was a time of “immense grace, revival, and paternal encouragement, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of the clergy, religious, and lay faithful”.
He admitted to one of the most striking impressions of the Bishop’s visit, being his approachability and desire to be intimately acquainted with the reality of the Parish life.
The Church President further testified that the Bishop’s visit to the various Outstations was a joy-filled moment for all, as he engaged the faithful, not just with formal addresses, but with direct and candid conversations, answering their questions about faith and modern culture.
Speaking to the Liturgical splendor and Sacramental grace brought about by the Chief Shepherd’s visit, Mr. Mawulawoe attested that, indeed, the liturgical high points of the week re-energized the sacramental life of the Parish community. “The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, celebrated by the Bishop across the various Stations and communities, felt elevating and profoundly reverent,” he admitted.
According to him, Bishop Asiedu, during his visit, spent hours in strategic, collaborative meetings with the parishioners at all the stations, commending the Parish for its vibrant social outreach programmes and effort to grow the church. He also listened intently to their unique challenges, specifically regarding projects, groups/societies, spiritual growth and development and offered wise pastoral counsel and a roadmap for future development.
The Church Head further highlighted the Bishop’s recurring message throughout his Pastoral visit, being one of Unity, Communion, and Evangelization, especially with the recent elevation of the Vicariate to a Diocese. The Bishop called for co-responsibility, stressing that the mission of the Church does not rest solely on the shoulders of the priests, but requires the active, charismatic involvement of the laity, and further urged families to remain the “domestic church,” protecting prayer life within the home.
The week-long visitation of the Bishop, according to the Church Leader, has left the St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Maame Krobo with a renewed sense of identity and purpose. “We are not an isolated community, but a vital organ in the larger body of the Diocese,” he celebrated, adding that the Bishop did not just evaluate where they were as a Parish, but also sowed seeds for the future.
Mr. Mawulawoe extended profound gratitude to all the Priests, in the Parish, the Church Council, the Catechists, Marriage Counselors and every Parishioner who contributed in varied ways to the success of the Bishop’s Pastoral visit.
He, on behalf of the Parish, promised daily prayers for His Lordship, and committed to honoring his visit by putting his Pastoral Recommendations into immediate action.
The Chief Shepherd, in a brief interview with DEPSOCOM, after the Confirmation Mass to climax his Pastoral visit at Maame Krobo, described it simply as “a very beautiful experience”.
